Community Colleges, previously known as junior colleges are two-year public colleges of higher education which is a distinct American creation. Students may transfer to a university or a liberal arts college after graduating from a Community College. These colleges play a major role in contributing towards California Economy thereby delivering quality education and work training as pre-requisites, thereby enabling students to take up jobs right after their associate degree.

There is also an advantage to all the high school top ranking students as they can complete their associate degree before high school graduation by participating in Post Secondary Enrollment Option programs.
